The hit TV show ‘Anupama’, produced by Rajan Shahi, has made headlines once again as another key actor, Madalsa Sharma, says goodbye to the show. After Sudhanshu Pandey’s exit, the actress, who played the iconic role of Kavya, has also decided to move on. Unlike Sudhanshu, Madalsa’s decision wasn’t sudden; it had been on her mind for quite some time. In a recent interview, she opened up about the reasons behind her departure and what led to this big decision.

Kavya’s Role Was Key in ‘Anupama’s Early Success

Madalsa Sharma became a household name with her portrayal of Kavya, a character who brought complexity and intrigue to the storyline. Her role as a vamp and her portrayal of an independent woman who dared to love a married man created significant twists and turns in the show. Reflecting on her time on ‘Anupama’, Madalsa mentioned that Kavya was a central figure when the show began in 2020, along with Anupama and Vanraj. However, the character’s development has been stagnant for the past year.

Why Madalsa Decided to Leave the Show

Talking about her departure, Madalsa revealed, “The spark in Kavya’s character had faded. If Kavya had continued with her strong grey shades, I would have stayed. But recently, despite efforts from the creative team, nothing significant happened with my character.” After discussions with the show’s producer Rajan Shahi, both agreed it was time for her to move on.

    Family Support in Her Decision

Married to Mimoh Chakraborty, son of veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty, Madalsa received full support from her family. She shared, “My husband, father-in-law, and my mother encouraged me to explore other opportunities. They felt it was the right time to step forward.” Though it was a difficult decision, Madalsa believes leaving while her character was still loved and appreciated by the audience was the best choice.

Madalsa’s journey as Kavya will always remain special to her, but her focus now is to pursue new opportunities in the entertainment industry.
