Bollywood star Govinda has been discharged from Criti Care Hospital in Mumbai after suffering a leg injury from an accidental gunshot on October 1. The actor was admitted following a mishap at his residence, where his licensed revolver accidentally discharged, hitting him in the leg. After successful surgery to remove the bullet, Govinda spent a few days in the ICU before being discharged on October 4.

As Govinda left the hospital in a wheelchair, his wife Sunita and close family members were by his side. With tearful eyes and folded hands, Govinda expressed his gratitude to his fans for their constant prayers and support. The actor, known for his vibrant energy and connection with his audience, was visibly emotional as he thanked everyone.

    How Did the Accident Happen?

The accident occurred on the morning of October 1 when Govinda was preparing to leave for an event in Kolkata. While putting his licensed revolver away in a cupboard, the firearm accidentally fell, discharging and striking him in the leg. At the time of the incident, Govinda was alone at home, as his wife Sunita had gone to Shyam Ji’s temple for a visit. Upon hearing the news, Sunita rushed back to Mumbai to be with her husband.

    Govinda’s Recovery and Medical Care

Dr. Ramesh Aggarwal of Criticare Asia Hospital provided an update on Govinda’s health, stating that while the surgery was successful, the actor would require rest for the next three to four weeks. “Govinda ji is undergoing physiotherapy and exercises. He is recovering well, but complete rest has been advised for at least three to four weeks,” said Dr. Aggarwal.
