However, Salim Khan firmly rejected these allegations and dismissed the threats as extortion attempts.
Salim Khan says threats are only for extortion
Speaking to ABP Live, Salim Khan, an 88-year-old veteran writer and father of Salman, opened up about the ongoing threats. He expressed frustration over how the situation has impacted their lives, saying, “Our freedom has been taken away.” According to him, the threats against Salman are nothing more than extortion attempts. Last year, the actor received similar threats, but the situation has worsened since the murder of Baba Siddique.
“Salman never killed any animal, why should he apologize?”
Salim Khan stood firmly by his son, rejecting the claims that Salman had ever harmed an animal. He said, “Salman has never killed any animal. We don’t even kill cockroaches, let alone animals. Why should he apologize for something he didn’t do?” Salim further questioned who exactly his son should apologize to, stating, “To whom should Salman apologize? Apology is given when someone does something wrong.”
Salman Khan has faced criticism and legal issues in the past over allegations of poaching, but Salim Khan made it clear that his son had no role in any such acts. “We have never even used a gun. Salman has not committed any crime,” he said while emphasizing the innocence of his son.
Salim Khan’s thoughts on life, death, and threats
Addressing the ongoing threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, Salim Khan quoted religious scripture to express his belief in fate. “Life and death are in the hands of God. Honor, disgrace, life, and death are all controlled by God,” he said, reflecting on the uncertainty surrounding the threats.
Speaking about the gang’s repeated demands for Salman’s apology, Salim said, “Who do we apologize to? Apology is sought when you have wronged someone. Salman has wronged no one.”
Murder of Baba Siddique linked to Salman Khan?
Salim Khan also spoke about rumors linking Baba Siddique’s murder to Salman Khan, denying any connection between the two. He made it clear that Salman had nothing to do with the incident. According to Salim Khan, the murder was likely the result of a property dispute and not related to Salman in any way.
He further added that the family is following the advice of the police for their safety. “The police have asked us to avoid certain areas in our house, particularly after a bullet was fired into one part of it,” Salim shared, adding that the situation has made their daily life more restricted.

Following the murder of Baba Siddique and the growing threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, the authorities have tightened Salman Khan’s security. The police are taking the threats seriously, and precautionary measures have been put in place to ensure the actor’s safety. Salim reiterated that this entire situation revolves around extortion. “Someone demands Rs 5 crore and says that if we pay, everything will be forgiven. But from the beginning, I have maintained that this is a case of extortion,” he stated.
