    In a historic moment for India, Rachel Gupta from Jalandhar, Punjab, won the prestigious Miss Grand International 2024 crown in a grand finale held in Bangkok, Thailand, on October 25, 2024. This victory makes Rachel the first-ever Indian to achieve this title, placing her among the elite few Asians to claim the honor.

    Rachel’s journey to the crown has not only made the nation proud but also inspired many with her grace, confidence, and unwavering dedication. The event hall erupted with chants of “India, India” even before her name was officially announced, reflecting the immense support and admiration she garnered throughout the competition.

    Tough Competition at the Finals

    Rachel faced tough competition from contestants across the globe in the top 5 round:

    • 1st Runner-up: Christine Juliana Opiaza (Philippines)
    • 2nd Runner-up: Thae Su Nyein (Myanmar)
    • 3rd Runner-up: Safito Kabengele (France)
    • 4th Runner-up: Talita Hartmann (Brazil)

    Despite the intense rivalry, Rachel stood out with her poise and charm, ultimately becoming the judges’ top choice for the Miss Grand International crown.

    Winning Special Titles Along the Way

    Rachel’s achievements didn’t stop with the grand title. Earlier in the competition, she also bagged the Super Talent of the World award, showcasing her talent among 60 global participants. Interestingly, Rachel follows in the footsteps of Bollywood legend Zeenat Aman, who had won the same title decades ago.
