Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty is facing legal issues after a case was filed against her in Bihar. The incident occurred during the inauguration of a Kalyan Jewelers showroom at Kalam Bagh Chowk in Muzaffarpur, where Shilpa was invited as the chief guest. The event attracted large crowds, leading to a traffic jam that caused major disruption in the area.
Advocate Files Case Against Shilpa and Others
The case, registered by Advocate Sudhir Ojha, accuses Shilpa Shetty along with four others, including the District Officer of Muzaffarpur, Subrata Kumar Sen, and Kalyan Jewelers executives. The lawyer claimed that the event blocked the main road, causing traffic congestion that affected local residents and commuters. He stated that this resulted in serious inconvenience, and he himself was stuck in the traffic, which worsened his health.
Traffic Blocked, Public Inconvenienced
Fans gathered in huge numbers to catch a glimpse of Shilpa Shetty, leading to a complete roadblock near the showroom. According to Sudhir Ojha, the administration failed to manage the crowd, resulting in a jam that lasted for hours. He further emphasized that this was a private event, and the organizers should have ensured smooth traffic movement, rather than allowing such disruptions.
Hearing Scheduled for November
The case has been filed under several sections, and the CJM court in Muzaffarpur is set to hear it on November 11. While the event was meant to be a celebratory affair, it has now landed Shilpa Shetty and others involved in legal trouble due to the inconvenience caused to the public. The traffic jam not only delayed important tasks for many but also raised concerns about the management of large-scale events in the city.
