Marvel fans have reason to celebrate as Tom Holland recently shared some exciting news about the highly anticipated Spider-Man 4. During a podcast appearance on the “Rich Role Podcast,” Holland revealed that he and co-star Zendaya have already read the first draft of the script. According to him, while the script is still in its early stages, the writers are doing an outstanding job, and there’s a lot to look forward to.

First Draft Brings Joy to Tom and Zendaya

Holland mentioned that just a few weeks ago, he and Zendaya sat down to read the script together. Their excitement was palpable, as the story seems to have already captured their enthusiasm. Holland said they were “jumping with joy” while going through the draft, which shows how promising the next chapter of the Spider-Man franchise could be.

While the script is still a work in progress, Tom expressed that the first draft was excellent and that further improvements are expected. He emphasized that working with Marvel is always exciting, but it requires patience, as each project is just a small part of the massive Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

New Director to Helm Spider-Man 4?

There’s also a shift behind the camera for the upcoming Spider-Man film. Reports from The Hollywood Reporter suggest that Destin Daniel Cretton may direct Spider-Man 4, taking over from John Watts, who directed the previous trilogy. Cretton, who directed Marvel’s Shang-Chi, could bring fresh energy to the beloved superhero series.

The Return of Tom and Zendaya

Tom Holland and Zendaya, who have portrayed Peter Parker and MJ in three previous Spider-Man films, are gearing up for their fourth outing together. The duo first appeared together in Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017), followed by Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019), and Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021). Their on-screen chemistry has been a major factor in the success of the series, and fans are excited to see them reprise their roles.

    Marvel’s Busy Phase-5

Spider-Man 4 will join Marvel’s Phase-5, which is packed with other big releases like Captain America: Brave New World, Thunderbolts, and Avengers: Secret Wars. With each new announcement, the anticipation for Spider-Man 4 continues to grow.
