After being missing from home for 25 days, the actor has returned, but his troubles persist. Gurcharan has opened up about his financial crisis, revealing that he is burdened with a debt of Rs 1.2 crore and has not eaten solid food for over a month.
Searching for Work in Mumbai
In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Gurcharan Singh discussed his ongoing struggles. He shared that he has been in Mumbai for the past month, desperately searching for work. “I feel that people love me and want to see me,” he said. “I need to earn money to manage my expenses, take care of my mother, and repay my debts. I want to start my second innings in life, but I need money to pay off my EMIs and credit card bills.”
34 Days on a Liquid Diet
The actor also revealed that he has stopped eating solid food for 34 days, surviving only on a liquid diet of milk, tea, and coconut water. “I have seen nothing but failure in the last four years,” Gurcharan confessed. “I tried different things, including business ventures, but nothing has been successful. Now I am tired, and I need to earn some money.”
Debt of Rs 1.2 Crore
Gurcharan Singh is facing a massive debt of Rs 1.2 crore. He explained that he owes Rs 60 lakh to banks and credit card companies. Additionally, he has borrowed money from friends and acquaintances, adding to his financial burden. Despite these challenges, Gurcharan remains determined to pay off his debts and provide for his elderly parents.
Spiritual Journey and Financial Struggles
Earlier, in an interview with Pinkvilla, Gurcharan mentioned that he had embarked on a spiritual journey, which led to his disappearance. However, he clarified that his absence was not solely due to his financial struggles. “I did not disappear because I was in debt or unable to repay the loan,” he said. “I still have the loan, but my intentions are good. I am committed to paying off my credit card bills and EMIs.”
