He mentioned that the climax of the film is something that viewers won’t forget. “I can’t reveal a specific stunt or scene, but I promise that the last 30 to 40 minutes will surprise everyone,” he said. His excitement was matched by producers Anil Sir, Apoorva Sir, and Karan Sir, who nodded in agreement during the event.
Challenging Underwater Shoot
Talking more about the making of the movie, Junior NTR revealed that the movie has intense underwater and over-water action sequences. These scenes took a lot of effort and time to film, stretching over 38 days underwater and another 60 days outside the water. The actor hinted that these action scenes will be a highlight of the movie. “It took almost 80 to 100 days to film these action-packed scenes that have never been seen before in Indian cinema,” he proudly shared.
The Scene Junior NTR Disliked Filming
Despite all the action, there was one particular scene that Junior NTR didn’t enjoy shooting—the shark-riding scene. He said, “It was really tough! We were filming in a tank that was 200×150 feet and about five and a half feet deep. It took almost an entire day to get it right, and it was one of the most exhausting scenes I’ve ever shot.”
The actor further shared that he has been part of Devra Part 1 for a long time. Director Koratala Siva first told him the story before the release of RRR, and since then, he has been deeply involved in the project.
Devra Set for Two Parts
The upcoming movie Devra will be released in two parts. In Devra Part 1, Junior NTR will be seen playing two roles—a father and a son. The film also stars actors like Shruti Marathe, Prakash Raj, Srikanth, Shine Tom Chacko, Narayan, Kalaiyarasan, Murali Sharma, and Ajay. Additionally, Bollywood stars Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor are part of the cast, with Janhvi making her debut in Telugu cinema.
