As the second season of ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’ gears up for its return on 21st September, the cast is fully engaged in promoting the show. Among the promotions, Archana Puran Singh, the show’s permanent judge, made a playful remark about her role, claiming she gets paid just for laughing, while the rest of the cast earns much more for their hard work.
In an interview, Archana shared her thoughts on her role and the audience’s peculiar requests during the show. She mentioned that while she is often seen laughing during the performances, other members of the team, like Kiku Sharda, work hard with costumes and performances, making it a common joke that Archana gets paid a hefty amount just for enjoying herself.

Archana addressed the topic with her usual charm, stating, “These people take double the money. So it’s fine, let them work hard. I get paid just for laughing, while others are paid for their talent and beauty.” She explained that each cast member earns based on their unique contributions to the show.
Reports indicate that Kapil Sharma, the star of the show, charges Rs 5 crore per episode, while Sunil Grover makes Rs 25 lakh per episode. Archana Puran Singh herself reportedly earns Rs 10 lakh per episode, the same as Krishna Abhishek, with Kiku Sharda earning Rs 7 lakh and Rajiv Thakur taking home Rs 6 lakh per episode.
As the show approaches its second season, fans are eagerly anticipating the fun and laughter that this talented cast will once again deliver on screen.
