Aaliya Siddiqui, wife of Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui, has landed in controversy again—this time, not due to her ongoing personal issues with Nawazuddin, but because of serious fraud allegations leveled by a close friend. The friend, Komal Seth, claims that Aaliya borrowed a substantial amount of money under false pretenses and is now refusing to return the full amount. Komal has openly shared her side of the story, accusing Aaliya of emotional manipulation to gain financial help.
Emotional Pleas for Financial Help
Komal revealed that her friendship with Aaliya began in 2016 due to their children attending the same school. What started as a casual acquaintance quickly blossomed into a close friendship, with both visiting each other’s homes regularly. However, in 2019, things took a turn when Aaliya approached Komal, crying and pleading for financial help due to some “personal problems.”
Feeling sympathetic towards her friend, Komal extended a helping hand. She shared that at the time, she had recently sold her house and had some funds available. Aaliya reportedly borrowed Rs 25 lakh initially, promising to pay it back soon.
Another Loan for Film Production
Later, Aaliya returned with another request, this time citing the need for additional funds to complete the production of a film titled ‘Holy Cow’. Komal, trusting her friend, loaned her another Rs 21 lakh, making a total of Rs 46 lakh lent to Aaliya. Komal explained that Aaliya constantly requested money while claiming she was under financial strain.
Partial Payment and Further Excuses
When Komal began asking for her money back, she says Aaliya delayed repayment with various excuses. Aaliya reportedly returned only Rs 5 lakh of the total borrowed, citing financial difficulties and even claiming that Nawazuddin himself didn’t have the money to help her repay the debt.
Komal stated that their friendship deteriorated rapidly due to the unresolved financial dispute. “They ruined our relationship because of this money,” she lamented. Despite repeatedly asking for her remaining Rs 41 lakh, Komal alleges that Aaliya avoided the matter and continued making excuses.
Komal’s Financial Struggles and Legal Action
The financial burden has left Komal in a precarious situation. She had been planning to sell her house in the USA and buy a new one in Mumbai, but due to the loss of funds, she now faces financial hardships. Komal is currently living in a small room with her family at a relative’s house and struggling to pay even basic rent.
“I went into depression, and I couldn’t even pay my hospital bills,” Komal shared, explaining that she had shown her medical expenses to Aaliya, hoping it would push her to return the money. However, Aaliya still refused to pay. Desperate, Komal sent a legal notice to Aaliya, but she received no response.
In an attempt to recover her money, Komal also approached Nawazuddin Siddiqui, but claims that he, too, made excuses and avoided addressing the situation.

As of now, Komal has taken legal action against Aaliya Siddiqui, hoping to reclaim her funds. The situation remains tense as Aaliya has yet to respond to the legal notice or resolve the financial matter. With these allegations now public, the case is likely to draw more attention in the coming days.
