Kamran Ghulam made headlines for all the right reasons as he scored a brilliant century on his Test debut for Pakistan in the ongoing second match of the three-match Test series against England in Multan. Replacing out-of-form Babar Azam, Kamran played under immense pressure, leading his team’s batting charge after a shaky start at 19/2.

While his historic achievement caught everyone’s attention, an old clip from the Pakistan Super League (PSL) has resurfaced, causing quite a stir on social media. In the video, fans claim Kamran was slapped by fellow cricketer Haris Rauf during a live match. But what’s the truth behind this viral moment?

Did Haris Rauf Really Slap Kamran Ghulam?

The video in question comes from a PSL match where both Kamran Ghulam and Haris Rauf were representing the Lahore Qalandars. The clip shows Haris celebrating aggressively after taking a wicket. As his teammates gather around him, Kamran steps forward, and Haris playfully touches Kamran’s cheek. This light tap was misinterpreted by many as a slap, leading to viral claims that Kamran was slapped on live television.

However, the video clearly shows that this moment was just a playful gesture between teammates. Kamran himself did not react negatively. Instead, he smiled, patted Haris’s chest in return, and praised him for his wicket-taking effort. The viral video has no element of hostility, but rather reflects a friendly moment between two players.

    Kamran Ghulam’s Record-Breaking Test Debut

While the PSL moment may have sparked online chatter, Kamran Ghulam’s biggest news is his spectacular Test debut performance. Replacing Babar Azam, who has been struggling with form, Kamran took the opportunity and made it count by scoring a century on his very first Test appearance.

This century is significant for several reasons. Not only did Kamran Ghulam become the first Pakistani batsman to score a century on debut against England, but he also became the 11th Pakistani player to achieve a century in their debut Test match. His remarkable innings comes after a gap of five years, as no other Pakistani batsman has managed a century on debut since then. Additionally, he became the first batsman in 23 years to score a debut Test century in Multan.

Kamran’s contribution gave Pakistan a much-needed boost in a pressure situation, helping to stabilize the innings after early losses. His performance has quickly earned him praise, and fans are excited to see more from this talented batsman.

As Kamran Ghulam continues to make history on the field, his playful moment with Haris Rauf during PSL reminds everyone of the camaraderie that often lightens the intense atmosphere of professional cricket.
