Bollywood actress Esha Gupta has finally opened up about the old dating rumours linking her with Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya. In a recent interview, she revealed the truth behind their short-lived connection, making it clear that things never really took off between them.
Hardik Pandya has been in the spotlight lately, not just for cricket but also for his personal life. His divorce from actress Natasha Stankovic caught major media attention. The two, who share a son, have reportedly moved forward in their lives. Recently, his name was also linked with singer Jasmine Walia after she was seen supporting him during an IPL match.
Amid all this, Esha Gupta has spoken up about the past buzz that once surrounded her and Hardik.

In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Esha Gupta responded to the rumours linking her to Hardik Pandya. When asked about the alleged relationship, she laughed first and then responded honestly, saying, “We weren’t dating. I don’t think it even got to that point. Yes, we used to talk for a few months, but it ended before anything serious could begin.”
Esha admitted that they did meet a couple of times, but the conversation between them never reached a stage where it turned into a full-blown relationship. She said, “It could’ve been something maybe, but it wasn’t meant to be. We both realised we are not alike, and it’s better that way.”
Different Lives, Different Choices
While explaining what went wrong, Esha said they both discovered early on that they were very different people. “I like a simple life, away from too much limelight. I enjoy peace and home life. There was no problem with Hardik, but we were not the right fit for each other,” she added.
Esha also referred to Hardik’s controversial appearance on Koffee with Karan. She said by the time that show aired and the controversy broke out, her connection with Hardik had already ended.
Mutual Respect Despite Differences
Esha did not say anything negative about Hardik. She praised him as a person and said their interaction was respectful. She clarified that while they did talk, nothing serious came out of it, and both moved on in their directions.
Currently, Esha continues to gain praise for her role in the web series “Aashram 3” with Bobby Deol, where her glam look and performance caught major attention. Meanwhile, Hardik remains in the public eye, both for his sports achievements and his evolving personal life.
