Just days before her sudden passing, actress Shefali Jariwala had planned to join a major health campaign focused on women’s well-being. The event, scheduled for 17 July, was a part of the DISA (Digital Innovations & Interventions for Sustainable Healthtech Action) initiative, aimed at promoting women’s health with government support.
Shefali had agreed to participate in the event alongside her husband, actor Parag Tyagi, and other known personalities. According to the makers of her last show Showstoppers, she was deeply involved in spreading awareness about women’s healthcare issues through her role in the series.
Shefali Was the Face of ‘Showstoppers’ and Women’s Health Awareness
Manish Harishankar, director and producer of Showstoppers, confirmed that Shefali was chosen just 15 days before her death to represent the show and the DISA campaign. He said she was seen as a strong voice for women and someone who truly believed in the cause.
“Shefali was not only acting in the show but was also connected to the message we wanted to share — breaking the silence around women’s health issues,” Harishankar said.
Planned Appearance at Health Event with Husband Parag Tyagi
Shefali and Parag Tyagi were going to attend the 17 July event to promote health awareness together. The event was also set to host Abhijeet Sinha, Program Director at DISA and EODB Director.
Sinha also praised Shefali’s role in Showstoppers, saying, “She wasn’t just an actor in the series. Her character brought strength to the topic. Her presence at the campaign event was meant to show real empowerment.”
