Australia’s cricket captain Pat Cummins is taking on a new role far from the pitch. Known for his pace bowling and sharp leadership, Cummins will now appear in an animated cartoon series for children, aiming to make young fans smile while spreading love for cricket.

While leading Australia in a Test series against the West Indies, the 31-year-old has revealed his association with a unique kids’ series named ‘Snik and Willow’. The show is expected to connect children with cricket in a fun and imaginative way, focusing on teamwork, challenges, and the spirit of the game.

‘Snik and Willow’: A Cricket Cartoon for Young Fans

Created by Gentrix Studios, ‘Snik and Willow’ tells the story of two cricket-crazy kids—Snik, an Indian boy, and Willow, a fast bowler. The two come together to save their local cricket club while spreading awareness and love for the sport.

Pat Cummins will feature in the show as part of the storyline, likely lending his voice and image to motivate kids through the animated characters. His involvement adds real-life cricketing credibility to the project, making it even more exciting for young viewers.

The series mainly targets children between 5 and 12 years old, along with their families. It focuses on values like friendship, fair play, and never giving up—qualities Cummins himself displays on and off the field.

Cummins Shares His Love for Cricket and Kids

Cummins expressed happiness about his new animated journey. “Cricket has always been a big part of my life. What Snik and Willow are doing through this series is really special,” said the Australian skipper. He also mentioned how important it is to keep the sport fun and inspiring for the next generation.

He believes Willow’s journey, especially as a female fast bowler in the series, can encourage young girls around the world to pick up the sport. Cummins said he is excited to see how the show can inspire children across countries to become curious about cricket.

Busy on the Field, Active Off It Too

Even as Cummins explores the world of animation, he continues to focus on his captaincy duties. Under his leadership, Australia has already taken a 2-0 lead in the three-Test series against West Indies. Australia won the first Test by 159 runs and the second by 133 runs.

The third and final Test of the series will begin on 13 July in Kingston, and it will be played as a day-night match. Cummins will lead from the front as usual but will now also carry the tag of an animated cricket hero.
