The film, directed by Farah Khan, featured an ensemble cast including Shahrukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Vivaan Shah, Sonu Sood, and Boman Irani. While the movie received mixed reviews, it did manage to perform decently at the box office.
Aishwarya explained that accepting the role would have been “fun” but ultimately not the right choice for her and Abhishek. She pointed out that the film did not pair her with Abhishek, which would have made it awkward for them both. Deepika Padukone was cast opposite Shahrukh Khan, and there was no female lead opposite Abhishek. Aishwarya felt it would be uncomfortable to be part of the movie while being paired with someone else, especially with Abhishek also in the film. This led her to turn down the role.
