South Indian superstar Junior NTR, fondly known as the “Young Tiger” by his fans, has been injured during the shooting of the much-anticipated film War 2. The actor, who is currently busy with his Bollywood debut alongside Hrithik Roshan, sustained a hand injury while filming an intense action sequence. As a result, the production of the film has been delayed, and Junior NTR has been advised to rest for the next two months.

Junior NTR’s Bollywood Debut Faces Setback

War 2 marks Junior NTR’s first foray into Bollywood, a significant step for the actor who has already established a formidable reputation in South Indian cinema. The shooting of the film was underway in Mumbai, and the actor was filming his entry scene when the unfortunate accident occurred. The injury to his hand has put a temporary halt to the production, pushing back the shooting schedule by two months.

According to reports, Junior NTR will resume shooting in October, after his recovery. This delay has understandably disappointed his fans, who have been eagerly awaiting his Bollywood debut after his stellar performance in the globally acclaimed film RRR, directed by S.S. Rajamouli.

    NTR’s Dedication to His Craft

Despite the injury, Junior NTR is known for his commitment to his roles. He had recently wrapped up shooting for his upcoming film Devra, which is set to release on September 27. The actor has been in the spotlight for Devra for quite some time, and it is touted to be one of the most expensive films in Telugu cinema, with a budget of Rs 150 crore. The film also stars Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor in leading roles.

This isn’t the first time Junior NTR has faced an injury. Earlier, while working out in the gym, he sprained his left wrist, which required his hand to be plastered. Despite this setback, he continued shooting for Devra, showcasing his dedication to his craft.

    Impact on War 2’s Production

The delay in War 2‘s production due to Junior NTR’s injury has led to changes in the shooting schedule. The actor’s entry scene, which was supposed to be a high-octane action sequence shot on a ship, will now be filmed later in the year. The scene was set to be shot at Yash Raj Studios in Mumbai, where a special setup had been prepared for it.

In the meantime, Hrithik Roshan and Kiara Advani, who also star in the film, will continue with the shoot. Kiara’s entry in the film is also a fighting sequence, which has already been shot in a mall in Malad, Mumbai. The production team is now focusing on completing the scenes that do not require Junior NTR’s presence, ensuring that the delay does not impact the overall timeline too significantly.

    High Expectations for War 2

Directed by Ayan Mukherjee, War 2 is expected to be an action-packed thriller, much like its predecessor. The first installment, War, released in 2019, was a massive success, and expectations are high for the sequel. The film is set to feature elaborate fight sequences, with Hrithik Roshan reportedly involved in a sword fight set in a Japanese monastery. The action sequences are said to be the highlight of the film, with the director taking his time to perfect every detail.

War 2 marks the first time that Junior NTR and Hrithik Roshan will share the screen, a prospect that has fans of both actors eagerly awaiting the film’s release. With the addition of Kiara Advani and the experienced direction of Ayan Mukherjee, the film is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated releases in the coming years.
