Censor Board Modifies Key Scenes in ‘Devra Part 1’
Fans of Junior NTR are eagerly awaiting the release of his highly anticipated film ‘Devra Part 1,’ set to hit theaters on 27 September 2024. However, before its release, the film had to pass through the Censor Board for approval. The movie received a UA certificate but only after making four key changes as suggested by the CBFC (Central Board of Film Certification). These edits focused mainly on reducing violent content.
The CBFC requested cuts to three violent scenes – one depicting a man kicking his wife, another showing a body hanging on a sword, and the last involving a son kicking his mother. In addition, the CGI mark for a shark scene was asked to be enhanced. After making these adjustments, the final runtime of the movie is now 177 minutes and 58 seconds.
Star Cast and Double Role for Junior NTR
‘Devra Part 1’ features Junior NTR in an exciting double role. Alongside him, Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor play pivotal roles, with Janhvi marking her debut in the Telugu film industry. The movie also stars Prakash Raj, Shruti Marathe, Srikanth, Shine Tom Chacko, and Narayan, adding depth to the cast.
Massive Budget and Multi-Language Release
With a staggering budget of Rs 300 crore, ‘Devra Part 1’ is being dubbed as one of the most ambitious projects of the year. The movie will not only release in Telugu but also Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada. Initially, the film was scheduled to release on 5 April 2024, before being pushed to 10 October 2024. However, it was later preponed to the current 27 September 2024 release date.
Junior NTR’s Upcoming Projects
Apart from ‘Devra Part 1’, Junior NTR has an exciting lineup of films. He will be making his Bollywood debut with ‘War 2,’ which is expected to further elevate his career. He will also return in ‘Devara Part 2,’ and has another highly anticipated project, #NTRNEEL, slated for release in 2026.
