Mumbai, August 2024 – Ranbir Kapoor’s upcoming film, “Ramayan,” directed by Nitesh Tiwari, has been the talk of the town for months. Initially, the buzz was around Kapoor’s role in the film “Animal,” but now all eyes are on his portrayal of Lord Ram in “Ramayan.” The film’s production has been shrouded in secrecy, with a no-leak policy enforced after some looks from the set were leaked twice. Despite this, excitement continues to build, especially with the recent addition of a top-tier action director to the project.

Terry Notary Joins “Ramayan” as Action Director

“Ramayan” is one of Bollywood’s biggest and most ambitious projects, with a staggering budget of ₹23,000 crores. The film will be released in two parts, both of which are being shot simultaneously. The cast includes heavyweights like Sai Pallavi as Sita, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, Yash as Ravana, and Kunal Kapoor as Indra Dev.

In a significant development, Terry Notary, the renowned Hollywood stunt coordinator and motion-capture performer, has been brought on board as the action director for “Ramayan.” Notary is best known for his work on blockbuster films like “Avengers: Infinity War,” “Avengers: Endgame,” “Avatar,” and the “Planet of the Apes” reboot series. His involvement in “Ramayan” is expected to elevate the film’s action sequences, particularly the epic battle between Ram and Ravana, to a whole new level.

Terry Notary’s Experience and Excitement for “Ramayan”

Terry Notary has been working on “Ramayan” for over a year and a half, according to a report by Pinkvilla. In a video shared by an Instagram user, Notary expressed his enthusiasm for the project and his experience working in India. “It’s crazy. No one can stop it; it will go on forever,” he said, highlighting the scale and intensity of the project.

Kishore, who posted the video, captioned it: “A morning with Terry Notary, a popular American actor and stunt coordinator, now in India for our Indian classic ‘Ramayan.’ Brother, waiting to see the final project.”

Notary’s extensive background in motion capture and stunt coordination, especially in films like the “Avengers” series, which grossed ₹23,000 crores worldwide, brings a wealth of experience to “Ramayan.” His involvement ensures that the action scenes, particularly the Ram-Ravana war, will be nothing short of spectacular.

    Ranbir Kapoor’s Transformation for “Ramayan”

Ranbir Kapoor has undergone a significant transformation for his role as Lord Ram. Reports suggest that Kapoor was chosen for the role due to his facial features, which closely align with the traditional portrayal of Ram. In addition to physical training, Kapoor has also received speech training to perfect his portrayal of the revered character.

Despite the excitement, the film’s official announcement has yet to be made, with many expecting it to happen on Ram Navami. Fans eagerly await more details, but for now, the anticipation continues to build.

    Release and Future Projects

The first part of “Ramayan” is slated for release in 2026. The film is expected to set new benchmarks in Indian cinema, with its massive budget, star-studded cast, and the involvement of top international talent like Terry Notary.

Following “Ramayan,” Ranbir Kapoor is set to work on another major project with director Sanjay Leela Bhansali titled “Love and War.” But for now, the focus remains on “Ramayan,” as the industry and fans alike eagerly await what promises to be an epic cinematic experience.
