Tripti Dimri, known for her powerful performances in films like Bulbul, Laila Majnu, Kala, and the upcoming Animal, is set to appear in her latest movie Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, releasing on October 11. In a recent interview with Katrina Kaif on her YouTube channel, Tripti shared some emotional and personal experiences related to her career, including the harsh comments her family faced when she entered the film industry.

Tripti Dimri’s Family Faced Criticism Over Her Career Choice

During her conversation with Katrina, Tripti revealed the challenges her family encountered after she pursued acting. Coming from a traditional Uttarakhand background but raised in Delhi, she spoke about how her relatives criticized her parents for allowing her to join the film industry. People would say things like, “Why did you send your daughter into this profession?” and make harsh predictions about her future, saying, “She will get spoiled, make wrong decisions, and no one will marry her.”

This negativity created pressure on Tripti, especially in the early days of her career. She shared how hard it was when work was scarce, and the doubts from others began affecting her emotionally. Despite this, she remained determined to prove herself, knowing she couldn’t return to her parents empty-handed.

Tripti on Overcoming Self-Doubt and Finding Success

Tripti admitted that there were moments of confusion and hopelessness, particularly when she wasn’t getting work. However, her passion for acting and the desire to make her parents proud kept her going. She said her family always supported her, even when others questioned their decision.

After the release of her first film Laila Majnu, Tripti’s parents finally felt a sense of pride. The success of her career silenced many critics, and she began receiving recognition for her talent. She shared that the love and appreciation from audiences helped her stay focused and motivated.

National Crush Tag and Future Success

In the same interview, Tripti also addressed the tag of being called the ‘National Crush,’ which many fans have lovingly given her. She expressed her gratitude, saying that she feels blessed for the love she has received for her work. Every role she has played, whether in her earlier projects or more recent ones, has resonated with the audience, and she feels fortunate to have that support.

Today, Tripti Dimri’s journey from being criticized to earning widespread acclaim is a testament to her resilience and hard work.
