Popular Bhojpuri actor Pawan Singh has found himself at the center of yet another controversy, this time involving YouTuber Babita Mishra. The social media influencer has accused the actor of threatening her life, filing an FIR against him at the Kadamkuan police station in Patna. The case, which was registered on September 26, 2024, alleges that Pawan Singh is behind the threats made to her by unknown individuals.
FIR Registered Against Pawan Singh
As per the FIR lodged by Babita Mishra, she was threatened by four unknown men on motorcycles on September 24. The men allegedly stopped her car and warned her to “stay out of Pawan Singh’s way,” particularly regarding his ongoing dispute with his wife, Jyoti Singh. The men reportedly claimed they were acting on Pawan Singh’s orders and threatened to kill her if she didn’t comply. Babita also claimed that the men physically intimidated her by placing a weapon, referred to as a ‘Takka’, on her head before fleeing the scene.
Babita Seeks Protection from Bihar Chief Minister
Following the encounter, Babita Mishra immediately reported the matter to the police and later escalated it by writing to Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, seeking protection. She has stated that she fears for her life and believes that her safety is at risk because of her involvement in the personal matters between Pawan Singh and his estranged wife Jyoti Singh. Babita stressed that as a “daughter of Bihar,” she expects swift action from the authorities to ensure her security.
Babita’s Connection to Pawan and Jyoti Singh
Babita Mishra, in her statements, revealed that she had a close connection to both Pawan Singh and his wife Jyoti Singh. She claims that she was instrumental in re-establishing communication between the couple during the time leading up to the Lok Sabha elections. According to Babita, Pawan Singh and Jyoti were not on speaking terms, but she facilitated their meeting in Lucknow, which led to a brief reconciliation.
However, after the elections, Babita alleges that Pawan Singh began threatening her. She claims that Pawan’s growing displeasure stems from her ongoing support of his wife, Jyoti, in the ongoing divorce case. Babita has expressed that Pawan Singh only used Jyoti during the elections to project a united family image and has since abandoned her.
Pawan Singh’s Alleged Broken Promise
Babita Mishra further revealed that Pawan Singh had promised his wife Jyoti that he would withdraw the divorce case after their reconciliation, stating that as a Rajput, his word was his bond. However, Babita claims that Pawan Singh has since reneged on this promise, leaving Jyoti to live separately from him while he moves on with his life. Babita believes her involvement in the couple’s private matters has made her a target of Pawan Singh’s anger.
Accusations of Threats on Social Media
The YouTuber also mentioned that the threats didn’t stop with the incident on September 24. She alleged that on September 23, she was threatened via a video circulating on social media, warning her that Pawan Singh and his team were displeased with her actions. Babita believes that the Bhojpuri star is intent on silencing her because she is exposing details about his personal life, including rumors of a third marriage.
Police Investigation Underway
The Kadamkuan police have confirmed that an FIR has been registered against Pawan Singh, and an investigation is underway. While the Bhojpuri actor has yet to respond to these serious allegations, the case is gaining media attention, with many awaiting the outcome of the investigation.
