    In the ongoing Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2024, Shimron Hetmyer delivered an incredible performance for Guyana Amazon Warriors against St. Kitts & Nevis Patriots. Playing in the 7th match of the season, Hetmyer smashed an explosive 91 runs off just 39 balls, lighting up the stadium with his power hitting.

    Hetmyer took the St. Kitts bowlers by storm, slamming 11 sixes and 4 fours during his thrilling knock. The crowd went wild as Hetmyer hit four consecutive sixes in the 19th over, bowled by Odin Smith. However, on the fifth ball, he attempted another big hit but got out, missing his century by just 9 runs. Despite not reaching the hundred mark, Hetmyer’s innings had a massive strike rate of 233.

    Guyana Amazon Warriors batted first after winning the toss and posted a gigantic total of 266 runs in 20 overs. Apart from Hetmyer’s brilliance, Rahmanullah Gurbaz contributed 69 runs, while Keemo Paul chipped in with a quickfire 38. The team hit a total of 23 sixes, making it a nightmare for the St. Kitts bowlers.

    Chasing 266, the St. Kitts team put up a solid fight. They managed to score 226 runs, but it wasn’t enough to overcome Guyana’s massive total. Guyana Amazon Warriors won the match by 40 runs, adding another victory to their CPL campaign.

    This match will be remembered for Hetmyer’s outstanding performance, even though he narrowly missed out on a century. The crowd witnessed an entertaining contest filled with powerful hitting and exciting cricket.
