    The much-awaited IPL 2025 Mega Auction is set to reshape teams and decide the future of hundreds of cricketers. With a massive purse of Rs 641 crore across ten franchises, the excitement is at an all-time high. Let’s dive into everything you need to know about this year’s mega auction.

    When and Where is the IPL 2025 Mega Auction Happening?

    The IPL 2025 Mega Auction will take place at the Abadi Al Johar Arena in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on November 24 and 25. The event starts at 12:30 PM local time (3:00 PM IST) and will span two days. Participants and team officials will be accommodated at the luxurious Hotel Shangri-La, a short drive from the venue.

    How Many Players Are Up for Grabs?

    Out of the 1,574 registered players, 574 cricketers have been shortlisted by the IPL Governing Council. This includes:

    • 366 Indian players
    • 208 overseas players

    Each franchise can assemble a squad of 18 to 25 players, with a maximum of eight overseas players. With 46 players already retained across teams, 204 slots remain open for the auction.
