A heartwarming story has emerged from the cricket world, where Ireland’s all-rounder Simi Singh has been given a new lease on life, thanks to the selfless act of his wife, Agamdeep. The 37-year-old cricketer, known for his bowling and batting skills, faced a life-threatening situation after being diagnosed with acute liver failure. His wife stepped in as the donor, performing an act of love that saved her husband’s life.

Battling Liver Failure and Receiving Life-Saving Support

A few months ago, Simi Singh began feeling unwell while in Ireland and returned to India in June for treatment. He was admitted to the ICU at Medanta Hospital in Gurugram, waiting for a liver transplant. The cricketer’s health condition worsened due to incorrect antibiotic and steroid use, leading to the need for an immediate transplant.

Singh shared on his Instagram that after a 12-hour-long surgery, his transplant was a success. He expressed gratitude towards his wife, Agamdeep, for donating a part of her liver. He also thanked his fans for their support, saying, “I am very fortunate that my wife helped me by becoming a donor.”

He was even teammates with Indian cricket stars like Virat Kohli and Yuzvendra Chahal. In search of more opportunities, Simi later moved to Ireland, where he became a prominent figure in their cricket team.
