Bengaluru: In an exciting Duleep Trophy 2024 match between India A and India B, Rishabh Pant made headlines with his aggressive batting. Playing at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, Pant unleashed his power in the second innings, punishing the bowlers of India A, particularly his IPL teammate Kuldeep Yadav.

    Pant’s Explosive Innings

Rishabh Pant, the star wicketkeeper-batsman, showed no mercy as he quickly reached his half-century in just 34 balls. In his powerful knock of 61 runs off 47 balls, Pant struck 9 fours and 2 massive sixes. His aggressive strike rate of 129.79 turned the momentum of the match, leaving the bowlers struggling to contain him.

    The Duel with Kuldeep Yadav

One of the highlights of Pant’s innings was his battle with spinner Kuldeep Yadav. Both players know each other well as they play together for Delhi Capitals in the IPL. Kuldeep, who is a key bowler under Pant’s captaincy in IPL, couldn’t stop the attacking batsman in this match.

Pant first hit Kuldeep for a boundary and followed it up with a towering six. He then completed his half-century with a single off Kuldeep’s over, sending a clear message that friendship on the field holds no place when it comes to competitive cricket.

    Pant’s Strong Comeback

After his car accident, Pant has only represented India in T20s and ODIs. However, with his strong form in the Duleep Trophy, he looks ready for a return to Test cricket. Fans are eagerly awaiting his comeback in the upcoming 2-match Test series against Bangladesh, starting on 19th September.

India A, however, struggled in response and managed to score only 231 runs. By the end of the third day, India B had reached 150/6, giving them a lead of 240 runs.
