Two of India’s cricketing greats, Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir, recently had a fun-filled conversation that took a light-hearted turn when they discussed Indian captain Rohit Sharma. Known for his forgetful nature, Rohit has been a regular target for jokes among his teammates, and Kohli didn’t miss the chance to pull his leg during a casual chat.

In a video shared by BCCI, Gambhir, the head coach, and Kohli had a relaxed conversation ahead of the first Test match against Bangladesh. Gambhir cheekily asked Kohli what he would like to ask Rohit, to which Kohli quipped, “Do you eat soaked almonds in the morning or not?” hinting at Rohit’s tendency to forget things.

Gambhir, joining the fun, added with a laugh, “This will help Rohit remember that he has to come at 11 am and not at night.” The two shared a laugh at Rohit’s expense, referring to his habit of arriving late or mixing up schedules.

Rohit’s Forgetfulness: A Running Joke in Indian Cricket

Rohit Sharma’s forgetfulness has become somewhat of a running joke within the Indian cricket team. Virat Kohli, among others, has often spoken humorously about how Rohit sometimes places things in the wrong spots or forgets important details. His quirky habit of being absent-minded hasn’t stopped him from leading India successfully, though, as under his captaincy, India secured the T20 World Cup this year after a thrilling final against South Africa.

This playful exchange between Kohli and Gambhir adds another layer to the camaraderie and bond between the Indian cricketers, showing that despite their competitive nature on the field, there’s always room for some humor.
