Will Rain Interrupt the Third India-Bangladesh T20? Pitch and Weather Report

The Indian cricket team will face Bangladesh in the third and final T20 match of the series today, 12th October, at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. After dominating the first two matches, Team India, led by Suryakumar Yadav, is eyeing a clean sweep by winning this game and securing a 3-0 victory in the series. However, rain might play spoilsport as weather predictions indicate the possibility of showers during the game.

Weather Forecast: Will Rain Interrupt Play?

The weather in Hyderabad has been unpredictable, with rain making an appearance on the eve of the match. According to reports from weather.com, there is a 50% chance of rain on the day of the match, which could impact the play. The forecast shows a 34% chance of rain at 7:30 pm when the game is scheduled to start, but it is expected to reduce as the night progresses. The outfield was covered on Friday, and fans will be hoping that the weather clears up to allow a full game.

India’s Bench Strength to Get a Chance?

With the series already in India’s favor, the team management is likely to experiment by giving some new faces an opportunity in the playing eleven. Ryan ten Doeschate, India’s assistant coach, hinted that Harshit Rana could make his debut in today’s game. Despite some recent failures, Sanju Samson might continue in the squad, retaining his place in the team. This match offers the Indian team a chance to test their bench strength ahead of more crucial fixtures.

India’s Unbeaten Home Series Streak Continues

India has been in tremendous form in T20 cricket on home soil, having not lost a series since September 2019. Over this period, India has won 14 series and drawn 2. The men in blue will be keen to maintain this winning streak, while Bangladesh faces an uphill task to end India’s dominant run in home T20s.

    Hyderabad’s Pitch and Past Records

The Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium is known to be a high-scoring ground, especially in IPL matches. Teams that have scored over 200 runs while batting first have enjoyed success. The pitch generally favors batsmen, and toss could play a significant role, especially given the rain forecast. In the past, India has won two T20 matches at this venue while chasing, so the team batting second may have an advantage if the conditions favor them.
