Salman Khan‘s popular reality show Bigg Boss 18 kicked off on October 6th, bringing in new contestants and surprises. While the show welcomed 18 participants this season, one unexpected guest made a brief but memorable appearance — famous storyteller Aniruddhacharya. He arrived not as a contestant but to present a copy of the Bhagavad Gita to Salman Khan. However, soon after their meeting, an old video of Aniruddhacharya criticizing Bollywood stars, including subtle jabs at Salman, surfaced online and began trending.
In the viral clip, Aniruddhacharya can be seen delivering harsh remarks aimed at Bollywood. Without mentioning names directly, he questions the social contributions of film stars, particularly their concern for the poor. He boldly says, “They run over those sleeping on the footpath,” referring to a past incident in Bollywood, a clear allusion to Salman Khan’s 2002 hit-and-run case.
Aniruddhacharya’s comments struck a nerve with social media users. Many were quick to point out the apparent contradiction between his actions and words. One user, Raghavendra Singh, commented, “There is a world of difference between words and actions,” highlighting the contrast between his meeting with Salman and the viral video.
The 2002 incident, where Salman Khan’s car ran over people sleeping on the footpath, remains a sensitive topic. Though Salman was initially convicted, the High Court later acquitted him due to insufficient evidence. Despite this, the incident continues to follow the actor, especially when references like Aniruddhacharya’s are made.
