Famous singer and Indian Idol Season 12 winner Pawandeep Rajan met with a serious road accident while travelling from Uttarakhand to Delhi. As per reports, the accident occurred near Gajraula in Amroha, Uttar Pradesh, during the early hours of May 5. The singer is currently in critical condition and has been shifted to the ICU of a private hospital.
The incident occurred around 3:40 AM when Pawandeep’s Hector SUV vehicle collided with a Canter truck. The collision happened due to the driver, Rahul Singh, allegedly dozing off while driving. The crash was so intense that both of Pawandeep’s legs got fractured, and he also suffered a serious head injury.
Two Others Injured, Car Completely Damaged
Besides Pawandeep, two of his friends also travelled in the exact vehicle. All of them suffered injuries in the crash. The SUV was left heavily damaged, and the visuals that surfaced online show the singer in a weak and injured state, lying on a hospital bed.
Gajraula police station in-charge Akhilesh Pradhan confirmed that the matter is under investigation. Both damaged vehicles have been seized. DSP Shwetabh Bhaskar stated that further action will be taken once a formal written complaint is submitted.
Singer Moved to Fortis Hospital in Noida for Advanced Treatment
After being given initial treatment at a local private hospital, Pawandeep’s family made arrangements to shift him to Fortis Hospital in Noida. He is under strict medical supervision, and doctors closely monitor his recovery. His condition remains critical due to multiple fractures and a severe head injury.
CM Dhami Wishes Pawandeep a Speedy Recovery
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed his concern and support through a tweet on May 5. He wrote that he was saddened by the news of the singer’s accident and prayed for his fast recovery.

Pawandeep Rajan became a household name after winning Indian Idol Season 12. He impressed the judges and audience with his soulful singing and won a cash prize of ₹25 lakh and a car.
