Despite these challenges, she cherished the time spent there. “This was my first time spending so much time in Uttarakhand, and the mountains are just beautiful. I didn’t want to leave,” she admitted, adding that the experience of shooting on location was vastly different from working in Mumbai. When Kritika was first approached for Gyaarah Gyaarah, she had only a partial understanding of the project. “During the audition, I had some information, but not the full script. Initially, I thought it might be similar to other shows I had seen, but as I delved deeper, I realized that the mystical angle was something new, something that hadn’t been explored much in Indian cinema or OTT,” she explained.
Kritika was particularly drawn to her character in the series. Having previously portrayed a gangster, she was excited to step into the shoes of a police officer this time. The dual timeline aspect of the show allowed her to explore different age ranges and character arcs, adding depth to her performance. “When I finally met Umesh sir, the director, I knew I wanted to be a part of this project,” she added.
