The Government of India has unveiled its very own OTT platform, Waves, at the prestigious International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa. Designed as a family-centric platform, Waves promises a diverse range of content spanning movies, classic TV shows, live events, and even online shopping. Available on both iOS and Android, the app offers an immersive experience with its multi-functional features.

Subscribers can access the app by visiting the official website, Waves.pb, where payment options are available.

    1. Live Channels & More
Waves features 65+ live TV channels, offering viewers live-streamed events such as Ayodhya’s Ramlala Aarti and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s monthly Mann Ki Baat. It also streams the US Premier Cricket League, starting November 22.
    2. Classic Content with Modern Appeal
Rediscover the golden era of Indian television with timeless shows like ‘Shaktimaan,’ ‘Ramayana,’ ‘Mahabharat,’ and ‘Hum Log’. These gems are available in over 12 languages, making the platform truly inclusive.
    3. Movies Across Genres
From crime and horror to action and comedy, Waves houses a wide selection of Indian and international films. Current offerings include ‘Monkey King – The Hero is Back,’ ‘Thode Door Thode Paas,’ ‘Bhed Bharam,’ and ‘Janaki.’
    4. Beyond Streaming: Games, E-books & Shopping
Waves isn’t just about video content. Users can:
      • Play online games.
      • Read e-books on historical and inspirational topics.
      • Shop directly through the platform.

Bridging the Gap: Affordable Entertainment for All

Waves is set to compete with popular OTT platforms like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video by offering something unique—content steeped in Indian heritage while catering to modern tastes.
