New York: India’s Yuki Bhambri, paired with France’s Albano Olivetti, made an impressive comeback at the US Open men’s doubles, reaching the third round after defeating the 15th-seeded duo of Austin Krajicek from the USA and Jean-Julien Rojer from the Netherlands. Bhambri and Olivetti turned the match around, winning 4-6, 6-3, 7-5 after losing the first set. This marks Bhambri’s second time advancing to the third round of a Grand Slam, with his previous best performance being at the Australian Open in 2014.

The match ended 6-7 (4), 4-6, with Venus and Skupski capitalizing on one of their seven break points. Unfortunately, Balaji and Andreozzi couldn’t convert their sole break point opportunity.
